Everyone might be checking this out already...
...but it is a good website to get updates on the NW music scene...
I have created Kicked It In the Sun in the hopes of creating a forum where we can all discuss sports, music, movies, and politics etc. A few times a week I will add links to any articles or videos etc for your enjoyment. Please email me with any links to anything you think others would appreciate as well. On the right hand side I have included links to websites I check on a daily basis.

Yeah I started reading it last summer. Good stuff. I was talking to Half Acre Day's new manager about it on Monday and told them HAD should put a banner/link on there. It was already there. I felt dumb. By the way it really is three chicks who do that that and the former DJ from KEXP I hang out with from time to time told me they are doing very well for themselves.
Also, HAD played a surprise gig this weekend at the Lower Level. They were billed as the "Rocket Suits". Great show. 50 or 60 people which isn't bad for a surprise gig. The now songs are great.
Music debate I was involved in on Monday with some heavy enthusiasts in "the scene":
One guy: (sarcastically) SO is the future of rock now THE Killers?
Me: Better them than Limp Bizkit, Korn, or any of that other goatee-metal-rap date-rape music.
Other guy: True. True.
Other guy: It's a great time for music. So many bands as opposed to three or four huge ones.
Me: If you would have told me five years ago Modest Mouse would sell a million records, Death Cab would be on a major label with huge buzz, and a teen show like the OC would have the best music on it I would have thought you were on metamphetamines (sp). Anyway, such good times to love the tunes.
You all should check out the Futureheads and The Zutons.
Futureheads= minus the bear + New Pornographers/ The Clash and The Ramones
The Zutons=country surf fusion rock if that is at all possible. Maybe they could best be described as a B-Movie Sci-fi soundtrack band. I dunno.
Tunage. Both fantastic.
P.S. I firmly believe file sharing/internet use/ ITUNES is a HUGE component of this mini-revolution. I am guessing most of you would agree. Go team Net.
