I know many of you were wondering how long it would take to walk from the third deck of QWEST Field to 85th and Stone (my current residence). The answer is a smooth hour and 45 minutes. But what a great journey I had. Cruising through Seattle listening to the tunes provided to me from the IPOD club, feeling the Holiday vibe at Westlake, reminiscing about the days when the Monorail worked, getting scared shitless walking over the Aurora Bridge, having my leg cramp across from Blue Video, realizing the female bartender at the Kangaroo KIWI bar was indeed looking at me and smiling (sorry...married!), and finally getting home and realizing that I actually parked my car at the Northgate Park and Ride. Good times. Great music.

Survivor fans, anyone else enjoy the look on Ami, Leann and Julie's faces when they got duked? That's what I've been looking for all season, a little shocker to shake things up. Those bitches thought they had it all the way and were so confident about it, that's what I love about Survivor. Now they have to do some manipulating to get themselves back in it.

U2 on SNL. Three songs. Fantastic. They made the cast cry.
Don't you wish you had TIVO during a live sporting event? Holmgren's play calling grew tiresome and dull yesterday.
Tonight's Arrested Development was maybe the hardest I have laughed at a sitcom. Gene Parmesan anyone? Buster in Mexico?
Mt. Baker is opening. Time for the fun to begin.

It is so frustrating watching Ami control everybody. Now Chris is getting in with the top 4 and getting rid of my Twyla and Scout who needed to go a long time ago. Twyla and Scout should have gone with the boys and had it come down to a rock. If luck went their way, they would have been final 4. Now they're screwed and won't finish higher than 5th. Bad strategy. Eliza will probably win it all now.
Is there a cooler guy on TV than Probst? How can Jude Law be sexier than him?

It is that time of year again and snow is expected in the mountains tonight. How about a few day trips to Crystal, Baker, and Stevens etc.?
This article on Crystal is pretty cool (click above). The pullout section in the Times today is all about the resorts.

Finally! I got it working (I needed to reply to an email from hello.com that activates my account and allows me to post pics)
There probably won't be any audio of this - but there are some higher quality pics and maybe even some video that should be forthcoming.

...then be sure to buy it at Easy Street or Sonic Boom and you might win an iPod
Seattle iPod Contest:
To celebrate the release of Pearl Jam's first greatest hits record, Rearviewmirror (greatest hits 2001-2003), the band is giving away 2 iPods loaded with Pearl Jam's entire studio catalog and 5 bootlegs. Available only in the city of Seattle, fans must purchase the greatest hits record at any Sonic Boom Records or Easy Street Records location between Nov. 16th and Dec. 19th to be entered in the contest. The drawing will happen on December 20th and two winners will each receive an iPod loaded with over 250 Pearl Jam songs. One entry is allowed for every purchase of the record.

Student suspended for handstands, cartwheels Thursday, November 11, 2004
LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Cartwheels and handstands have gotten an 11-year-old girl temporarily bounced out of her Los Angeles-area school. Deirdre Faegre was suspended for a week after repeatedly disobeying school officials who told her not to perform gymnastic stunts during lunchtime. "Our first concern is the safety of all children," San Jose-Edison Academy Principal Denise Patton told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Patton said Deirdre could accidentally strike another student, or injure herself, and other children could get hurt trying to imitate Deirdre, who has been doing gymnastics for five years. Deirdre's father, Leland Faegre, said it was absurd to suspend his daughter for doing gymnastics when students were allowed to play basketball and other sports. "Contact sports, apparently, are fine. But this one is so dangerous it requires the cartwheel cops," Faegre said.

My only concern about this rapid start is past history. The Sonics started 6-2 last season and 8-2 the season before. Last year they didn't even make 40 wins (37). In other words, don't jump on the bandwagon yet. However, if Reggie Evans continues to play the Rodman role and Fortson keeps impressing his muscle on the other big men, we might have a shot at 8th seed. If we don't make the playoffs though I would love to be the worst team in the league so we could pick first instead of picking 12th every year.

Just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone wanted to discuss the next Dawgs head coaching job. I've been hearing that the top of the list includes Tedford (Cal), Hawkins (Boise St.), Norm Chow (USC Off. Coordinator), or the guy from Utah. Personally, I like Tedford, but am not sure he would want to come here and dog his guys at Cal to caoch another Pac-10 team. I think my choice would be Hawkins. This guy has risen from the ranks of junior colleges to lead Boise St. on an incredible tear over the last 4 years. I think his worse record there was 8-4. I would also like to go outside of the Don James family thing and bring in some new blood. We've tried that with Lambo and Gilby and look what happened. Anyway, if there's any interest in Dawg football anymore after Saturdays loss, I would like to hear what you've heard/thought about it.

It's short notice, but I'm sure a lot of you have seen the ads already. This looks good:
On the eve of the election, SNL goes primetime with a one-hour special celebrating its long history of political satire. Featured clips include Darrell Hammond as President Clinton and Vice President Dick Cheney Seth Meyers as Senator John Kerry and Will Forte as President George W. Bush.
10PM on Monday night on NBC
