Like my father-in-law says, "Never over estimate the taste and intelligence of the american people."
My optimistic husband, Matt points out that a close run for the presidency means big money for the media/news channels, so it is in their best interest to have the poles ever so titillating.
I was beside myself in 2004 with the second W.Bush win, but hasn't america learned so much since then?
