Snyder and I were just chatting about them today. I was given 3 CDs to check out from Sara's rock star boyfriend that has inspired him lately. The Arcade Fire CD was one of them. I hadn't really heard of them. I was importing it into iTunes and realized that I had just added a few of their songs from Brian and Rachelle's latest playlists -pretty crazy.
It was quite a bizarre performance, but filled with a TON of energy. They are pretty amazing in that they encompass so many genres of music into each song. On Conan they sounded a bit like the Talking Heads, Interpol, BJORK, Modest Mouse, and a bunch of other stuff too. And they had a fiddler!
I love them, but thought their shenanigans was too distracting. I just wanted to hear the music.
