Baseball Cards On a Comeback?
I have created Kicked It In the Sun in the hopes of creating a forum where we can all discuss sports, music, movies, and politics etc. A few times a week I will add links to any articles or videos etc for your enjoyment. Please email me with any links to anything you think others would appreciate as well. On the right hand side I have included links to websites I check on a daily basis.
This will also be located on the right in the link section for all of her fans.

Remember folks, this was the same guy who crucified Clinton for his indiscretions in the White House while simultaneously cheating on his wife. Why does anyone listen to him anymore? And this guy "speaks" for a large percentage of Republicans?

Eric's dad Ivan sent me this link and I initially just saw the headline in the email and feared the worst. However, Eric is alright!

He hasn't asked them to meet and discuss a strategy, but he hasn't asked them to stop either.

Finally a decent episode. I have been bored to tears by this season's group of no talent hacks (with exception to Earl and Yau-Man of course), but we finally were able to see some strategy combined with some double and triple crossing.
Question: Why would Dream want to join an alliance where is number five at best? Had he let Earl's tribe vote for Alex, the immunity idol would have prevented Alex from leaving and Cassandra would be gone. The the numbers would be even plus Stacy, who is so anxious to stay in the game by any means possible, could easily be convinced to join their club. Stacy could actually swing-vote her way to the final three or four even though it's obvious the everybody hates her.
On a side note I hope Survivor eliminates anymore Extreme Makeover style tribe camps and goes back to actually making the survivors survive. A reward of a big cheeseburger with fries and beer is a much bigger deal when you've been eating bugs and sleeping with striped trouser snakes.

I cannot make this point enough times: it is worthless to save your best relief pitchers for save situations because the sub-par relievers usually wind up giving up the lead. Bring in Putz to get the K and maintain the lead, bring in Mateo and you are continually doomed.

I think the father here may have read A Scarlet Letter a few too many times. Whatever works I guess.

Jeff Jensen does a great job hypothesizing the signifigance of last night's episode and offers insight into it's meaning to the great Lost whole. I did not catch the picture on Brother Campbell's desk, and now I want to re-watch the show to see what else I missed.

Felix left tonights game with “tightness in his right elbow”.
Update:
Official News is “flexor strain”, won’t throw for 5 days, will be re-evaluated after that. “As good news as you can get”, per the doctor.
Heal Felix, Heal!

Wow! Could this guy get any better? Will he really be the best pitcher in baseball this year? Will he continue to make veterans with ten years experience on him look like little leaguers seeing a curveball for the first time? Will Felix day draw 10,000 extra fans like Randy did when he pitched?
All we have to do is play .500 ball for four days straight and let Felix do his thing every fifth day. The division will be ours.

Good for BYU!
Great qoute from the article:
“It just feels like [Cheney speaking is]too much sleaze and not the right values for B.Y.U.,” Mr. Woodworth said. “We espouse honesty, chastity, integrity, ethics, virtue and morality, and he does not epitomize those values.”

It’s not uncommon, at least in some Democratic circles, to ponder the possibilities of a joint presidential ticket of Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. And in most conversations, the names are listed in precisely that order.
But when that question is raised on tonight’s Late Show with David Letterman, Senator Obama asks for a bit of clarity.
“That would be a powerful ticket,” Mr. Letterman says of the two senators. “Undeniably that would be a powerful ticket.”
Mr. Obama replies: “Which order are we talking about?”
Pretty good line...

What a great night! It took us eleven minutes to get from our garage to the game. Kylee slept through the whole game, which included plenty of cheering after the home runs from Sexson and Betancourt. I forgot how fast Ichiro was until I saw him race around the bases during his triple. Dude has wings.
I still think Mike Hargrove should be fired. Mateo should never pitch in a close game, period. He's awful. Johjima should never bunt. Ever. He's a .300 hitter with power and the odds are better for him to swing away. At this pace Sexson will hit 162 home runs and get 405 RBI's. Keep it up dude!

King Felix is the man! You won't see too many better starts by a pitcher in the American League this year.
