Issaquah High School Class of 1992 15-Year Reunion

The video is located here.

I'll post a slide show by Friday. Here are some
pics to tide you over.

Great to see you all on Friday. Please send me pictures ASAP so I can put together a slideshow. Pick your ten or fifteen favorites and send them my way.
Thanks!
Trent

Hopefully we will see many of you tonight.
If any of you would like to contribute to my blog, Kicked It In The Sun, please email me links to any interesting, goofy, or off-the-wall stories and I will post them. You can reach me at trentonkyle@gmail.com.

Frequently asked questions regarding this weekends reunion.

1. I am unsure if I should attend or not. Perhaps I am not in the mood. What should I do?
This is an easy one. Go outside on the street and look at someone, but point the other way and then call another persons name (just like Coach Warren used to do in English class). Next, tell them you will need them for five-minutes (please) right after class. The random stranger might be confused, but you should smile.

2. What should I wear?
Wear something casual that you made in Ms. Lewis' class freshman year. Styles are cyclical and I am sure whatever you made in 1988 is popular again. Crabs.

3. What else can I bring?
I would recommend a camera. Throughout the evening you can walk around looking red-eyed and telling people they have nice shotssssss, just like Jarv.

4. Is everyone still meeting at 8:00?
Yes, you don't even have to arrive a half-hour early to get a parking spot on 2nd avenue.

5. Can we still bring significant others? What if I have two?
Aren't you lucky. Bring whomever you want. The Key Party starts at 2:00 am.

6. What is the deal with Lake Sammammish on Saturday?
We were not early enough in our request to reserve a picnic spot. However, if everyone brings a folding chair or three and some blankets, there should be plenty of space for everyone. Please meet at 1:00 and park in the first parking lot on the left. Does anyone want to take charge of this portion of the weekend? Please let me know.

7. Is there anything else we should know?
Yes, at 10:00 there will be a 15-minute break (party!) where the smokers can go smoke in the woods by the bus barn and the chewers can huddle around a big garbage can. The non-tobaco addicts can just rejoice and take a break from the stress of drinking beer.

See you Friday night.

Reunion Details

An informal fiesta is in the making. Here are the tentative details so far:

Dates: July 20 and 21, 2007.
A bar night followed by a family day at a park.
Significant others are invited and encouraged to attend.

Place: We will meet at what used to be Sam Malones. The place is now called Malarky's.
You may not remember it from the last time our group met. Here are directions.
Time: 8:00 will be perfect.

On Saturday we will meet at Lake Sammamish around 1:00.

More details will be finalized soon, however, we wanted to make sure everyone had time to put this get together on their busy summer calendar.

Mark Candee is currently trying to update everyone's current email address and other contact info so we can make sure we have a large number of attendees at our 'official' 20-year reunion. We would of course like to inform all classmates of this informal gathering as well. If you are reading this, please contact Mark with the following information:

Graduating Name:

Current Legal Name:

Email Address:

Mailing Address:

Phone:

All information can be sent to markcandee@hotmail.com.

If possible, please forward this site to anyone from the class of 1992. A link is located on the right hand side that will allow you to click and see any changes as they are made. Hope to see you there!

The Friday night Beastie Boys show at the Crocodile reviewed here. Set list included.

I would love to talk to anyone that was there!

Like Arrested Development? Check out this new series featuring Michael Cera (AKA "It must be a fun sexy time for you" George Michael)

Andre Website

Andre's wife Kirsten has created a website in Andre's honor. Click here to look at some pictures and sign the guest book. You can also make a donation to the memorial fund in Andre's name.

There were many people at the Gaslamp in Issaquah tonight and there some great Andre stories shared by all. I don't want to leave anyone out, but I remember seeing or talking to Cheryl, Monica, Carrie, Jan, Kim, Christine, Amy, Scott, Larry, Mark, Regina, Scott Burbage, Andy, Nicole, Regina, Jana, and Neil. I am sure there were more people than that, but it's 1:30 in the morning and this new dad hasn't stayed up this late since 2006 and my memory is shaky at best. The bottom line is that it was nice for so many people to show up and tell everyone how much Andre meant to them. I know Tyson Storey flew down to Utah to show his support and I think Mike Scott and his wife went too. Please tell the family members in Utah that our thoughts and prayers our with them.

Andre Update

A group of people will be gathering at the Gaslamp in Issaquah tomorrow night to share Andre stories. This will happen for sure and we would like it to be known that anyone is welcome. It doesn't matter if you you know Andre from Issaquah, Ellensburg, Utah, or anywhere else. Please come and celebrate his life.
9:00 at the Gaslamp. It's only a two-minute drive south off of the Lake Sammamish exit in Issaquah.
Please forward this to Andre's friends.

Lost! One of the best episodes of TV ever!

If you you re-arrange the letters in the name of the funeral parlor you get FLASH FORWARD.

Very sad news. Andre Callari has passed away. Andre graudated from Issaquah High School in 1992 and then attended Central Washington University.

The link above explains the details.

Andre and I spent a week in Hawaii together before sophomore year in high school and we ended up hanging out at CWU quite a bit. We both basically lived at or hung out at the two "party" houses, although he and Mike had the cooler pad with the pool table. Andre was the one guy who really encouraged me to take up snowboarding and he helped me adjust my settings numerous times so that I would be comfortable enough to stick with it. (I had no idea what the proper technique or foot placement should be. Nor did I have any idea how much I would love it). He was so damn cool about helping out a rookie.

From what I understand he LOVED climbing and if you google search you will find his comments all over climbing sites.
Our thoughts are with his family and with Kirsten and her family.

There are tentative plans to meet Friday night in Issaquah to share stories about Andre. I'll post more as soon as I know more. It looks like 9:00 at the Gaslamp might happen.

A couple people have emailed me and somebody mentioned it in the comments, but I would love to post any pictures of Dre from high school, college, or post-college. Please let me know if you have any.

Is the Bar Closed finished fourth last weekend, but a good time was had by all! He should race again in about two weeks or so. I threw a picture of Joanne and Kylee that was taken by Rachelle last week. Joanne and Mike should have a new baby any minute now!
As always, click on the pics for a larger view!

This is funny every time. The 40-year-old Virgin is a classic
