Chloe Rules!!!
INTERVIEW EXCERPT PLUS WEB-EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS
Mark Ronson is the shiznit!
In March 2006, Ronson released a cover of Radiohead's "Just" as a single. In certain areas it gained major radio play. It was released as part of "Exit Music: Songs with Radio Heads", a full Radiohead covers CD, in April. Ronson's second album, Version, due for release in the UK on April 16, 2007, includes other covers of a diverse selection of rock & pop songs including: Kaiser Chiefs' "Oh My God" (featuring guest vocals from Lily Allen), Coldplay's "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face", Britney Spears' "Toxic", and Ryan Adams' "Amy".
Ronson is due to release a cover of classic The Smiths' track Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before. The Mariners Are Playing Hardball!

For those of you that don't know, I usually order group Mariner tickets for three or four games in February, before they go on sale to the general public. (Any season ticket holder can do this). However, this year with normal work, school, and the baby, I completely spaced on it.
I would like to order group tickets for 15-20 people for one game. It will be huge fun as always.
Here are the dates I am considering: 4/29, 5/20, and 6/3. I am leaning towards 5/20 at this point. The tickets I buy will be between $7 and $25. Last year we sat closer to the field, which was more fun.
If you are interested, please let me know what dates work for you and how many tickets you might need. Please let me know ASAP because I will try to order tickets Tuesday when I am at the game.
If anyone wants to meet up I will be at these games in my season ticket seats:
4/3, 4/15, 5/12, 6/2, 6/22 (Griffey), 6/26, and 7/30 plus a few more...

Modest Mouse Returns

The new album has a few pop singles, a few mellow vibe type songs, and of course there a few songs where Isaac yells at you. The cool thing about this album is the musical exploration that is more reminiscent of The Moon and Antarctica, my favorite Modest Mouse record. Parting Of The Sensory is the best track, but there are plenty others. Oh, by the way James Mercer of The Shins sings on a few songs too.

Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize - we're floating in space -
Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Do You Realize - Oh - Oh - Oh
Do You Realize - that everyone you know
Someday will die -
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face

The Big Music Post
Where do we start?
The Kaiser Chiefs have a new album out in England that is pretty darn good. There isn't an "I Predict a Riot" in the new batch, but worth getting regardless.
Have you heard of the Fratellis? Maybe not, but they do have a song playing on an ITunes commercial right now. They rock.
The View is worth checking out if you dig The Libertines or the Arctic Monkeys.
Of Montreal's new album reminds me of Beck's Midnight Vultures record minus the soul, but plus some new wave and post punk.
Do any of you remember the soundtrack to the Friday Night Lights movie? Explosions in the Sky create all of the instrumental tracks. Their new album is very similar. Kind of like an indie Sigor Ros (or is Sigor Ros indie already?) Dont' know.
You all know I dig Arcade Fire. 'Nuff said.
The Good, The Bad, and the Queen is brit pop super group with Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Tony Allen (Africa 70/Fela Kuti) and Simon Tong (The Verve). The album is very diverse and defies easy description. It's got a bit of The Smiths and The Cure along with Oasis and Blur pop mixed with the Super Furry Animals. Just listen to it.
I am sure many of you have the Cold War Kids record. Simple arrangements similar to Spoon with a bit more blues and jazz mixed in. The lyrics are darker too.
That's all for now. Lots of new tunes to dig on.

The Harrison Forss Band
Not bad for some kids. Not bad for adults actually. They sound pretty damn good!
Arcade Fire and Eddie and the Crusiers

How many of you remember the 1983 Eddie and the Cruisers? It was one of my favorite movies as a kid and the John Cafferty Band played the music. They had a big hit from the movie with "On the Dark Side", which I loved. I now realize it sounds like a Bruce Springsteen and John Cougar Mellencamp rip off, but I still dig the song anyway.
About three weeks ago I was listening to the Arcade Fire concert from New York and I thought The Arcade Fire was covering John Cafferty. Instead, the song is listed as a new Arcade Fire song called "Keep the Car Running."
If you are a fan of Eddie and the Cruisers you should check out The Arcade Fire version because I think you will like it too.
